Health & Safety Advisor - Kildare

The Life Science and Tech division is looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join the team in Kildare.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills.
  • Assist the BU HSE Manager in implementing company strategy and expectations within SOPs, Guidance, etc.
  • Conduct safety inspections of Sisk workplaces regularly and perform risk reviews.
  • Attend sites following incidents and assist with investigations; lead investigations in the absence of the Project Director.
  • Coordinate with enforcement authorities during routine visits or incident investigations.
  • Understand client-specific requirements and adapt management systems accordingly with line manager approval.
  • Report any issues of safety deterioration or lack of ownership to your line manager.
  • Support the BU HSE Manager with tender and pre-qualification submissions, providing safety advice and practical solutions.
  • Participate in Start Up meetings with site teams and other relevant meetings.
  • Coach staff at all levels on health and safety standards.
  • Implement and promote the management system effectively.
  • Encourage innovative safety ideas and deliver safety training.
  • Share environmental management knowledge and advice with teams.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in Pharma.
  • At least 10 years as a Health and Safety professional.
  • Curious about root cause analysis.
  • Experience leading improvement initiatives.
  • Effective trainer with confidence.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • NEBOSH Construction Diploma or equivalent.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • NVQ Level 4 / EFQ Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Internal Auditor certification.
