The Accommodation Assistant is an important position working closely with the Accommodation Manager & Accommodation Supervisors. Tallaght Cross Hotel is located in Tallaght Cross Town Centre, with access to major routes and public transport nearby.

Primary Objective

You will be responsible for the cleaning, service and maintenance of guest bedrooms and public areas of the hotel to an approved standard, helping to create a pleasant and memorable stay for all guests.

Responsibilities
  • Arrive on duty and identify areas to be serviced or cleaned as stipulated by Accommodation Management.
  • Follow established company standards according to standard operating procedures.
  • Clean and maintain all public areas.
  • Operate vehicles safely and according to instructions.
  • Clean and care for departmental equipment and storage areas.
  • Clean corridors including glass (fire doors).
  • Conduct deep clean service as per standard operating procedures and frequency.
  • Report maintenance defects or issues that affect guest experience or safety.
  • Provide in-room amenities such as water, gifts, or fruit as per standards and protocols.
  • Respond immediately to guests' privacy and comfort requests.
  • Ensure proper disposal of wet waste, glass and recyclables.
  • Attend weekly meetings or briefings as required by Accommodation Management.
  • Anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests.
  • Communicate effectively with all team members.
  • Adhere to all systems and procedures in place.
  • Work varying schedules (day, evening and/or weekend shifts) to reflect business needs.
  • Participate in training programmes as required.
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will possess at least 1 year's experience as an Accommodation Assistant in a 4* hotel setting.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Positive and flexible approach to work (weekend work will be required).
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Ireland.
