Overview

Talbot Hotel Stillorgan, part of the Talbot Collection, is recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accommodation Manager. The role supports the Accommodation Manager in daily operations and aims to maintain high standards of guestroom and public area cleanliness, while delivering friendly service to guests and colleagues as an ambassador of the Talbot Collection.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Accommodation Manager in the smooth running of the Accommodation Department in line with SOPs, budgets, and relevant legislation.
  • Ensure housekeeping staff comply with hotel policy on uniform, personal hygiene, and Health & Safety.
  • Support in developing, training, and coaching housekeeping staff to hotel standards.
  • Assist in creating, updating, and implementing departmental SOPs.
  • Be aware of daily business including room occupancy, VIP needs, and special requirements; liaise with Reception regarding room moves and VIPs.
  • Distribute and check keys, room lists, checklists, and cleaning schedules at shift start; review at shift end.
  • Monitor work of Room Assistants, Linen Porters, and Maintenance to ensure standards are met.
  • Regularly inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness and appearance according to hotel standards.
  • Ensure maintenance work in bedrooms, laundry, and public areas is completed before releasing rooms to Front Desk.
  • In the Accommodation Manager's absence, input weekly rosters and manage attendance in Timepoint, considering hotel status (Arrival/Departure/Occupancy).
  • Assist in payroll accuracy and ensure stock levels of supplies are maintained; oversee ordering in the absence of the Accommodation Manager.
  • Support recruitment in the department and address labour shortages proactively.
Requirements
  • Ideally 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
