Position: Accommodation Assistant

The Accommodation Assistant is an important position working closely with the Accommodation Manager & Accommodation Supervisors. Tallaght Cross Hotel is nestled right in the heart of Tallaght Cross Town Centre, situated just off the M50, N81 & N7 motorways. With convenient access to & from the City Centre, via the Luas Red Line. The area features retail & apartment living & has the Square Shopping Centre & Tallaght Hospital on either side.

The primary objective of the position is to be responsible for the cleaning, service and maintenance of guest bedrooms and public areas of the hotel to an approved standard, helping to create a pleasant and memorable stay for all guests.

Responsibilities
  • Arrive on duty and identify areas to be serviced or cleaned as stipulated by Accommodation Management.
  • Follow established company standards as per the standard operating procedures.
  • Clean and maintain all public areas.
  • Operate vehicles safely and according to instructions.
  • Clean and care for departmental equipment and storage areas.
  • Clean corridors including glass (fire doors).
  • Conduct deep clean service as per standard operating procedures and frequency.
  • Report any maintenance defects or issues affecting guest experience or safety of the building.
  • Provide in-room amenities such as water, gifts, fruit, etc., as per standards and protocols.
  • Ensure that all guests' privacy and comfort requests are responded to immediately.
  • Ensure the safe and appropriate disposal of wet waste, glass and recyclables.
  • Attend weekly meetings or briefings as required by Accommodation Management.
  • Acknowledge and anticipate guests' needs and respond promptly.
  • Communicate effectively with all team members and adhere to all systems and procedures in place.
  • Be prepared for varying schedules (day, evening and/or weekend shifts) due to the cyclical nature of hospitality.
  • Participate in training programmes as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will possess at least 1 year's experience as an Accommodation Assistant in a 4* hotel setting.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Positive and flexible approach to work (weekend work will be required).
  • Proof of eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • Closing Date: Saturday 4th October, 2025.
