Why This Role is a Career-Defining Opportunity:

- Growth Opportunities: Enhance your expertise in European financial regulation, insurance innovation, and complex investment products.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified solicitor with 1-3 years PQE
- Experience in:
- Regulatory matters (outsourcing, distribution, fitness & probity, consumer protection)
- Data protection and GDPR
- Drafting commercial agreements aligned with IDD, Solvency II, PRIIPs
- Irish and EU financial regulatory frameworks
- Contentious and non-contentious matters
- Broad commercial contracts
- Investment products, insurance wrappers, and unit-linked funds
- Fluent in English, with strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic legal advice across the business
- Report to and collaborate with the Head of Legal
- Manage company secretarial duties, including board updates and regulatory correspondence
- Draft and negotiate commercial and transactional contracts
- Oversee external legal counsel and manage litigation portfolios
- Support operations regarding consumer protection and policyholder rights
- Draft policy terms and conditions
- Coordinate with compliance and risk teams on regulatory matters
- Advise on new product development and legislative changes
- Handle GDPR, AML, and KYC compliance
- Lead cross-functional projects with legal and commercial impact
