Overview

JOB TITLE: Procurement Executive

REPORTS TO: Head of Procurement

LOCATION: Dublin office (Occasional travel to suppliers across Ireland and the UK, and to our UK offices will be required.)

Job Summary

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Procurement Executive with 23 years of relevant experience to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of procurement processes, be a proactive problem-solver, and demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and develop within the role. A qualification in procurement or active pursuit of one is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a high level of accuracy are essential. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a dynamic procurement function within a fast-paced and expanding organisation.

Key Activities
  • Assist in the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and supplier coordination.
  • Manage the reorder process for inventory stock
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Support negotiations with suppliers to achieve best value for cost, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Maintain and update
  • Support the internal Product Commercialisation process.
  • Monitor supplier performance and contribute to supplier reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and external regulations.
  • Liaise with internal teams (sales, service, warehouse) to align purchasing needs with business requirements
  • Data management in SAP
  • Qualified or currently studying towards a recognised procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS, IIPMM)
  • 23 years' experience in procurement or supply chain management
Required Competencies
  • Self-starter and ability to work independently on own initiative.
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office skills
Desirable (not Essential)
  • Second language (e.g. German, French, Italian)
  • Experience in the medical device or healthcare/Dental consumables sector
