Overview

The collection includes the Killarney Plaza Hotel, Killarney Towers Hotel, Killarney Avenue Hotel and River Island Hotel. Awarded a 'Great Place to Work' in December and Green Hospitality Certified. The River Island Hotel is currently recruiting a Senior Assistant Manager to join their team. This is a full-time position, reporting to the Hotel Manager. The Senior Assistant Manager will oversee the daily running of the 52-bedroom, 3-star hotel. Location: Castleisland, County Kerry, Ireland.



Responsibilities
  • Support the Hotel Manager in leading daily operations, ensuring all departments function cohesively and to a high standard.
  • Provide hands-on support across departments when needed, maintaining a visible leadership presence throughout the property.
  • Take the lead in coordinating functions and events, ensuring all client specifications are executed to the highest standards.
  • Monitor and maintain operational quality, service consistency, and adherence to brand standards.
  • Anticipate and proactively respond to guest needs, ensuring a personalized and memorable experience.
  • Handle escalated guest concerns efficiently, demonstrating excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Apply a keen eye for detail to uphold service excellence and operational precision throughout the guest journey.


Qualifications
  • Experience as a department manager within a hotel environment.
  • Experience supporting and being hands-on across all departments.
  • Excellent customer service experience.
  • Degree in Hospitality Management is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English is essential.
