Overview

Education Training Executive Retail (Maternity Cover) role at Dermalogica UK. As an Education Training Executive you provide exceptional educational support to the Retail and Pharmacy Channel within Ireland to include Travel, generic retail locations, concessions and company staffed stores. With company targets and strategy in mind, you analyse impact and implement strategies to effect positive sales growth as a result of education delivered to this channel. You work closely with specific individuals across various departments and use the medium of education to positively influence growth and success of the Retail and Pharmacy Division. In addition, you will collaborate with the education team to support the wider professional community through the Irish training hub, pop-up learning workshops, events and live stream when needed.

Responsibilities
  • Uses medium of education to influence growth and success of channel
  • In collaboration with the Education Manager, ensure content provided is relevant to meet the needs of the specific channel. This includes education delivered through workshops, onsite or digitally, digital resources, in print and through bespoke onsite training sessions.
  • Ensure timely execution of education while embracing creative approaches utilising online resources, digital resources or enlisting support of Educators and experienced individuals.
  • Maintain a high level of educational standards even when processes or delivery are adjusted to meet the specific needs of the channel.
  • Evaluate effectiveness and impact of education on the retail and pharmacy channel and proactively look for opportunities to drive success.
  • Provide direct educational support to specific Retailers through bespoke training, evaluation of standards and providing feedback or resources for implementation of education.
  • Provide educational support for promotional strategies to specific Retail accounts. This includes in print, digital or providing protocols as necessary.
  • Use treatment expertise to elevate the Dermalogica brand in the crowded competitor Retail landscape and drive commercial success through training.
Builds strong inter-department relationships
  • Maintain open dialogue on plans and progress with relevant individuals across department and Irish business to facilitate a collaborative approach to growing channel.
  • Demonstrate openness and ability to try new ideas to continually innovate our approach.
  • Maintain connection with the UK retail education team and Education manager for retail to ensure consistency and sharing best practice.
Be a brand ambassador
  • Teach or deliver Dermalogica content while staying connected with all aspects of the education offered to various channels.
  • Represent the company in print and at various events or online. Includes developing and executing presentations to an excellent Dermalogica standard, digital delivery on social media, live streams, video segments and PR and influencer support when required.
  • Support the Retail team in their training of new product development, promotional themes and updates educational content, enlisting the support of Educators where necessary.
  • Proactively research and stay abreast of trends, developments and requirements within the wider skin care industry.
  • Lead by example and display a highly professional and motivated approach to all duties.
  • Demonstrate excellent time management of individual schedule while able to strategically prioritise tasks and responsibilities.
Experience and Skills
  • 5 years Dermalogica experience to ensure credibility.
  • A self-motivated and reliable, independent worker with a drive and initiative to succeed in a busy environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills to effectively manage larger projects alongside day-to-day administrative duties.
  • Clear and precise written and verbal communication skills.
  • The capacity to creatively solve problems effectively.
  • Ability to constructively overcome challenging conversations, for resolution orientated results.

The employee must be able to travel by car, on an aeroplane and via public transport. Support or training may be needed at other locations requiring the employee to travel with allocated travel time and staying away from home occasionally, sometimes attending evening or weekend events. Frequency depends on the position and base location.
