Job Title: 3D Designer (Roofing & Cladding)

Location: Kilkelly Co. Mayo (fully Onsite)

Salary: DOE (speak to Consultant Directly for confirmation)

Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and creative 3D Designer with expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, and other 3D software to join our client in Kilkelly Co. Mayo. This role involves creating detailed models, visualizations, and technical drawings for roofing and cladding projects, facilitating project execution and client understanding.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed 3D models of roofing and cladding systems using Revit and relevant BIM software.
  • Generate accurate 2D technical drawings, plans, elevations, and sections using AutoCAD.
  • Create visualizations and renderings to communicate design concepts effectively.
  • Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and client briefs for comprehensive 3D designs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, surveyors, and installation teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.
  • Produce material schedules, take-offs, and documentation from 3D models.
  • Ensure designs comply with building regulations, standards, and client specifications.
  • Assist in developing innovative design solutions considering aesthetics, functionality, and cost.
  • Manage digital drawing files, models, and documentation within a BIM environment.
  • Stay updated with advancements in 3D design software, BIM, and roofing/cladding technologies.

Requirements:

  • Qualification in Architectural Technology, BIM, Design, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a 3D Designer, preferably in roofing, cladding, or construction.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Navisworks, SketchUp, 3ds Max, or similar software.
  • Strong understanding of BIM workflows and collaborative design.
  • Knowledge of construction principles, building regulations, and material specs for roofing and cladding.
  • Excellent visual communication skills and ability to create compelling presentations.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong spatial reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings effectively.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with 3D scanning or point cloud data is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
