Food Service Assistant (Kitchen Porter with Food Handling)

€13.50 per hour

20 hours per week

We're looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Food Service Assistant to support the smooth running of our school kitchen.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a passion for great service and hygiene.

• Manual pot washing and use of commercial dishwasher

• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen and service areas to high standards

• Receiving and storing deliveries

• Basic food handling and preparation

• Serving food with a friendly and professional manner

• Assisting with school events, including occasional evenings and weekends

• Completing cleaning and food safety records

• Ensuring food safety and allergen protocols are followed

  • A calm, responsible and positive attitude

  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of pride in your work

  • Good interpersonal skills and team spirit

  • Willingness to learn and follow procedures

  • Experience in a kitchen environment is desirable but not essential
