Albany Beck are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Service Support Consultant to join our team in Dublin to work with a globally recognised Financial Services firm. This role is ideal for an individual with strong technical troubleshooting skills, a dedication to exceptional service delivery, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

As part of our client's IT Service Support function, you will act as the first point of contact for all IT-related issues and queries, providing both remote and on-site assistance across a wide range of hardware, software, and infrastructure platforms. You will be instrumental in ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining a positive IT experience for all users.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first point of contact for IT issues and queries across all supported platforms.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd level support via remote connections, phone, email, and desk-side visits.
  • Operate the IT Service Support phone line and mailbox, ensuring timely and efficient logging of all incidents and requests.
  • Record, track, and update calls using the IT Service Support call logging tool.
  • Participate in daily and weekly team meetings to discuss current issues, identify trends, and share updates.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive documentation database to support the IT Service function.
  • Liaise with internal teams and third-party providers to resolve infrastructure and application-related issues.
  • Support desk moves, power-downs, and other facilities-related IT requirements.
  • Assist with IT projects, key initiatives, and process improvements as required.
  • Remain flexible for occasional after-hours, weekend, and public/bank holiday work to support critical issues or project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with experience in investigating, identifying, replicating, and resolving IT issues across diverse platforms.
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering high-quality customer service to varied user groups.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Windows OS administration, and Microsoft Outlook/Office 365.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based call logging tools and remote support utilities such as RDP.
  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality customer service.
  • Results-driven with a resourceful approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to continuous self-development and the growth of team capability.
