Project Engineer

Lead Group Ireland are currently seeking a skilled and driven Project Engineer for a site based role in North Cork. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a solid background in managing capital projects within a production environment. You will lead and deliver projects across utilities, facilities, construction, and equipment—from concept through to completion—ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end execution of capital projects, including scope definition, planning, budgeting, procurement, implementation, and handover.
  • Oversee installation and commissioning of equipment, infrastructure, and utilities systems.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical input and engineering support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project documentation and progress reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3–5 years' experience in a project engineering role, preferably in a production or manufacturing setting.
  • Proven experience managing capital projects in utilities, facilities, construction, and equipment.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience in the food production industry is highly regarded.
