Structural Engineer

Lead Group Ireland currently require a Structural Engineer based in East Cork. We are seeking an enthusiastic and diligent Structural Engineer to join a bespoke Engineering consultancy in East Cork. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of building projects, applying your technical expertise in civil and structural engineering while collaborating closely with clients and colleagues.

You are a motivated team player with strong technical knowledge of civil and structural engineering and the construction process. You're comfortable taking responsibility, working to high standards, and communicating effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.

• Carry out civil and structural design of building structures to Eurocodes using various materials.
• Prepare manual calculations and use design software such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, and TEDDS.
• Liaise with clients and design teams to ensure project requirements are met.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety within the design process.
• Manage co-ordination meetings and maintain design folders.
• Monitor, update, and control design progress, cost, and quality.
• Undertake site inspections as required under BCAR 2014.
• Prepare clear and concise reports using Microsoft Office.
• Review contractor and design team proposals.
• Assist in PSDP, Assigned Certifier, and Ancillary Certifier duties.

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Civil/Structural Design Engineer.
• Chartered or working towards Chartership.
• Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD and structural design software.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Full Irish driver's licence required.
