Civil/Structural Engineer

Lead engineering consultancy seeks an enthusiastic and diligent civil/structural engineer to join a bespoke team in East Cork. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of building projects, applying technical expertise in civil and structural engineering while collaborating closely with clients and colleagues.

• Carry out civil and structural design of building structures to Eurocodes using various materials.
• Prepare manual calculations and use design software such as AutoCAD, Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, and TEDDS.
• Liaise with clients and design teams to ensure project requirements are met.
• Demonstrate a proactive approach to safety within the design process.
• Manage co-ordination meetings and maintain design folders.
• Monitor, update, and control design progress, cost, and quality.
• Undertake site inspections as required under BCAR 2014.
• Prepare clear and concise reports using Microsoft Office.
• Review contractor and design team proposals.

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Civil/Structural Design Engineer.
• Chartered or working towards Chartership.
• Proficient in Autodesk AutoCAD and structural design software.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and industry standards.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
