Overview

Parker Stewart are partnering with a leading supplier of powered access equipment and plant machinery, providing hire, sales, and service support to customers across Ireland. We are looking for an apprentice to join the workshop team, focusing on pre-delivery inspection of powered access and plant machinery. This role offers structured training and career progression in a specialist engineering sector.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on powered access and plant machinery to ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and customer-ready
  • Assisting with basic servicing tasks such as fluid checks, electrical and hydraulic system tests, and safety controls
  • Completing inspection records and reporting any faults or defects to senior engineers
  • Working to health & safety standards while keeping the workshop organised and professional
Requirements
  • Currently in a registered apprenticeship programme
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and an interest in powered access/plant machinery
  • Attention to detail with a methodical approach to inspection and testing
  • Team player with good communication skills and willingness to learn
