The purpose of this position is a Commercial Claims Executive role working within our Galway Commercial Lines division. The role involves managing all matters related to claims on commercial accounts, in collaboration with an account director/executive.

Claims Management:
  1. Distribute incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence related to claims.
  2. Register and set up new claims onto the internal system.
  3. Review and analyze claim documentation, including policies, medical records, and witness statements.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date claim records, documentation, and renewal reports.
  5. Liaise with insurance underwriters, clients, and other relevant parties to gather necessary information for claim processing.
  6. Prepare and issue reports to clients regarding claim status and developments.
  7. Provide administrative support to ensure efficient claim handling.
  8. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
  9. Stay updated on relevant industry regulations, policies, and procedures related to claims administration.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build long-term trusted relationships with customers by understanding their needs and acting as a true partner.
  • Enable customers to make informed decisions by sharing best advice and knowledge.
Customer Service:
  • Provide professional, action-oriented, and timely service to customers, staff, and management.
  • Put customers at the heart of all activities, aiming to delight them during every interaction to build loyalty.
Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with designated Account Directors.
  • Contribute as part of a team to meet all customer needs.
Compliance:
  • Collaborate with the team manager and compliance teams to ensure that file records meet prescribed standards.
Requirements:
  • APA Qualified / CIP (preferable)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good technical knowledge
Person Specification:
  • Previous experience with Open GI
  • Ability to develop relationships with insurers and clients
  • Strong organizational skills
