We are seeking a skilled Liability Claims Handler to join our team in Galway. As a Liability Claims Handler, you will be responsible for handling injury or liability cases using agreed claims processes to ensure appropriate reserving, achieve fair settlements, and deliver business objectives.

This role involves managing a portfolio of cases to ensure each case is reserved appropriately in line with the company's case reserving methodology. You will also be proactive in managing cases to achieve settlement within your designated personal authority level, following established standards, procedures, and guidance.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, customer service experience in the financial services industry, and knowledge of the local market. They will also hold or be progressing towards a recognised qualification aligned with the Minimum Competency Code, such as CIP/ACII.

As a Liability Claims Handler, you will be working closely with other teams, including Portfolio and Sales & Marketing, to provide insights for policy wording improvements and client reviews. You will also contribute to the development of less experienced colleagues to raise standards and expertise within the team.

We are looking for someone who is able to identify and maximise opportunities for profitable business development through involvement in new pitches. The ideal candidate will have a full understanding of relevant legislation and market developments, and will adhere to Claims Best Practice standards.
