Dublin, Dublin City, Ireland Stripe Full time
Overview

We are seeking a User Experience Assurance Engineer to join Stripe's User Experience Assurance (UXA) team. This role focuses on evaluating and improving user experiences across Stripe's products, testing user journeys, and partnering with product teams to raise product quality.

About Stripe: Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a significant amount of work ahead. This is an opportunity to impact the global economy through high-impact work.

Responsibilities
  • Identify gaps and improvement opportunities within specific user journeys and across Stripe's product suite. Act as a force multiplier to assist product teams in optimizing for product experience and quality, with a focus on developer experiences requiring code or API integrations.
  • Implement comprehensive user experience evaluation and manual testing strategies, ensuring thorough coverage of use cases and driving user journey evaluation.
  • Work closely with product teams to investigate, debug, triage difficult problems, and independently work toward results.
  • Develop and enhance internal tools that empower teams to report and track product quality issues.
  • Collaborate to define and establish user experience assurance standards, methodologies, and processes to be integrated into the product development lifecycle.
Minimum Requirements
  • At least 4+ years of experience in a customer success engineer, integration engineer, solution architect, technical consultant, or product engineering role. A strong technical generalist with a coding background.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand code in multiple programming languages.
  • Experience integrating Stripe or other RESTful APIs.
  • Experience partnering with engineers, designers, and business areas to build high-quality products.
  • Obsession with users, attention to detail, and building best-in-class solutions.
  • Understanding of how product quality is essential in a B2B product company with a focus on developer-led experiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex user and customer problems clearly.
  • Strong craft and visual design sense to determine when UX meets a defined quality bar and to notice subtle details in code or interfaces.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Self-starter with the ability to assess, troubleshoot, and work autonomously to solve complex problems.
  • Experience investigating, debugging, and triaging difficult problems and working toward results independently.
  • Solid understanding of development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and QA processes.
  • Experience testing APIs.
