Role Overview

The IT Support Technician will provide essential local IT support in a fast-paced environment, focusing on hardware setup, user account management, and Level 1 support. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues both onsite and remotely. As part of a growing IT team, the technician will also assist with cloud-based system management, including Azure, and database interactions as required.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Handle local hardware setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting for office devices.
  • Address and resolve Level 1 support tickets, focusing on first-line support for local IT issues.
  • Manage user account setup, configuration, and permissions.
  • Perform necessary manual system interactions, including basic database tasks.
  • Support troubleshooting and administration of Azure cloud services as needed.
  • Uphold ISO 27001 by following procedures, protecting data, dealing with security incidents and performing related tasks.

Requirements And Skills
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and Level 1 IT issues efficiently.
  • Proficient in user account setup, permissions, and administration.
  • Familiarity with basic database operations and manual system interactions.
  • Willingness to learn Azure troubleshooting and support.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effectively assisting users and collaborating with the broader IT team.
  • Experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Familiarity with Azure or other cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of databases and SQL.
