High-Level Mechanical Engineering Specialist

Job Description

This is a high-level mechanical engineering position that requires an experienced professional to lead the delivery of complex design solutions across various projects.

The role involves overseeing the installation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, managing project budgets, mentoring junior engineers, conducting site inspections, and maintaining strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project directors to develop project requirements and design strategies.
  • Deliver high-quality mechanical design solutions, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports, budgets, and client cost updates.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Attend site meetings, review technical submittals, and conduct regular inspections to ensure quality and coordination.
Requirements
  • Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering (Chartership recognized).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in consultancy-based design on commercial MEP projects.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, water services, drainage, and design software (Hevacomp, AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks).
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and project management skills.
  • Chartered Engineer status or ability to apply within 18 months.
