Associate Director- Accountancy & Finance

Job Title: Finance Business Partner

9 month Contract

Location: South Dublin

About the Company:

I'm working with a leading Retail company based in Dublin, known for innovation, operational excellence, and a commitment to quality. As they continue to expand operations, they are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Finance Business Partner to join our team and contribute to strategic decision-making and financial performance.

Role Overview:

The Finance Business Partner will serve as a key liaison between finance and operations, providing insightful analysis and strategic guidance to drive business performance. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost control, and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with operational and commercial teams to support decision-making through financial insights.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Provide analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs), production costs, variances, and margin trends.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.
  • Support month-end close processes with accurate and timely reporting.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support investment decisions.
  • Monitor working capital and cash flow, contributing to liquidity planning.
  • Support internal controls and compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and reporting tools.

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). 2-4 years PQE
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence non-finance stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
