Infrastructure Support Analyst (Grade V) – Irish Blood Transfusion Service
Responsibilities- The Infrastructure Support Analyst is a key member of the IBTS IT Department to meet operational and strategic objectives.
- Primary purpose is to manage escalated IT calls in relation to IBTS incidents and service requests.
- Provide technical support across multiple technologies, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Coordinate with third parties on more complex problems and ensure timely, effective responses to user inquiries to support smooth IT operations and high-quality service delivery.
- A recognised qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g., CompTIA).
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Advanced working knowledge of multiple of the following: Microsoft Desktop technologies (Windows 10/11), Windows Server deployment and management, Windows Active Directory and Group Policy, Microsoft Office 365 (including Teams, SharePoint, email).
- MS System Centre/MECM for enterprise software deployment and auditing.
- Backup technologies and solutions; enterprise security features (web/email content protection and endpoint protection).
- IP networking technologies (routers, firewalls, wireless networking).
- Understanding of NIS2 requirements; current Microsoft certifications; experience with Linux/Unix; experience in a GxP environment; ISO27001 experience; working knowledge of GDPR.
The salary scale attached to the post is the Grade V scale €51,718 to €61,866 (incl. LSI) pro rata per annum. Entry point on the scale is dependent upon relevant experience.
