The role
This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a specialist area in a top tier law firm and to join the only standalone products team in Ireland - working with some of the world's leading companies. We are seeking an ambitious litigation Associate to join our highly regarded products team. We have unique multi-jurisdictional experience in high value product liability litigation, with particular expertise working on litigation regarding healthcare products such as pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

Candidate requirements

  • 1 - 5 years post qualification defence litigation experience.

  • Experience in product liability litigation, particularly life sciences product liability defense, will be an advantage.

  • Candidates with a demonstrable interest in the above, along with EU and Irish regulatory law experience in fields such as medical / healthcare litigation, medical negligence, competition, financial regulation, data privacy, or will be considered.

  • Interest and passion in progressing and specialising in this space.

Responsibilities include

  • Managing complex product liability litigation, both at group and multi party level in a national and global context.

  • Advising pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers on all related product safety aspects of their portfolios.

  • Advising medical device, pharmaceutical and food and beverage clients on regulatory investigations.

  • Representing clients in regulatory enforcement actions, civil claims and criminal proceedings.
