JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY OF ROLE
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing support to agreed existing accounts, along with prospecting and developing new opportunities within these accounts and converting inbound enquiries.
You will engage with customers understanding their needs, building a relationship, gathering information, and providing creative solutions, with a view to generating profitable revenues all within the scope of our global strategy.
Working with colleagues in the wider business you will support, investigate and communicate existing/new business development in line with operational functionality and regional business unit targets.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Focus on nurturing and developing existing customer accounts to ensure we extract maximum value from each of them, grow sales spend, and develop margin opportunities within each account.
- Regenerate business opportunities with lapsed accounts.
- Become a true business partner to your customers through understanding their business workings, needs, and ensure that you offer/upsell the company's extensive portfolio of products.
- Be innovative in our offering and support your customer to grow their business.
- Develop excellent working relationships with all key stakeholders in your customer and actively work on the warm and lukewarm influencers in all functions.
- Monitor, manage and control sales costs directly associated with your accounts (terms, rebates, discounts and transport costs etc.) to ensure agreed margin targets are met.
- Ensure customer orders are processed, invoiced and managed correctly throughout, delivering expert customer service, and ensuring we exceed customer expectations.
- Respond timely to internal and external inquiries on product availability, pricing structures, delivery/lead times, and the status of orders.
- Prepare quotations for customer enquiries.
- Provide product issue resolution where necessary.
- Build industry intelligence of all Zeus packaging products along with understanding environmental & sustainable product ranges.
- Develop your understanding of continuous improvement techniques, the application of product & service solutions that drive efficiencies for our customers and deliver longer term customer value & satisfaction.
- Understand and utilise customer provided brand guidelines/assets to create packaging portfolios that support the customer's business while achieving best gross margin for Zeus.
- Identify strategic product or service innovation opportunities and present to the business.
SCOPE OF POSITION
The role does not have line management responsibility. The post holder will be expected to work any hours required in the execution of his/her duties.
LOCATION
This position is located at one of our Zeus offices in Ireland. There may be opportunity to work from home on occasions.

Qualifications
- Minimum level 3 (A'level, Btec qualification level) education.
- Computer skills including Excel/Word/Outlook - Intermediate level is a minimum.
