Position Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the financial records of our company. The ideal candidate will have experience in service-based industries, be proficient in accounting software, and understand the unique financial workflows of cleaning contracts, staff scheduling, and supply management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records for cleaning contracts, supplies, and payroll.
  • Record daily financial transactions including client invoices, supplier bills, and petty cash.
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Track expenses related to cleaning supplies, equipment maintenance, and transportation.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with VAT returns and audits.
  • Liaise with operations managers to align financial data with service delivery.
Qualifications And Skills:
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in a service or cleaning industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Business Central).
  • Familiarity with payroll systems and timesheet processing.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with non-financial staff.
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with contract-based billing and job costing.
  • Understanding of cleaning industry operations and terminology.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites or contracts simultaneously.
