Overview

Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Scientist within UCD School of Business. The successful candidate will work under the direction of Professor John Cotter. The role places a strong emphasis on machine learning applications in asset pricing and corporate finance, alongside traditional econometric and factor modelling techniques.

The successful candidate will coordinate all data-related activities, support early career researchers, and lead the FMC Cluster's reading group, fostering a collaborative research environment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate all data-related activities for the team and project.
  • Support early career researchers in their work and development.
  • Lead the FMC Cluster's reading group and foster a collaborative research environment.
  • Contribute to research activity under the supervision of Professor John Cotter.
  • Apply machine learning techniques to asset pricing and corporate finance projects, alongside econometric and factor modelling approaches.
Qualifications
  • Background in Finance, Financial Economics, FinTech, Sustainable Finance, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with machine learning applications in asset pricing and corporate finance, and in econometric and factor modelling techniques.
Salary

Salary: €40,000- €70,000 per annum

Appointment and Qualifications

Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
