Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of the project, drive performance and develop a plan for successful completion.
  • Lead the team, identify risks and constraints, and take appropriate action to ensure continuous workflow.
  • Plan, organise, and direct activities to ensure optimum delivery of the project.
  • Regular programme evaluation and ability to manage client and design teams' expectations.
  • Management of resources, workforce, subcontractors, equipment and materials.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and technical assessors to ensure the project is completed in accordance with programme and contracts.
  • Comply with and coordinate project activities in accordance with the company Quality System, Quality Procedures, and Engineering Specifications.
  • Meet agreed objectives in timely delivery, cost, quality and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure the highest level of Health & Safety and Quality is upheld at all times.
  • Maintain good working relationships with clients, design and office teams.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years' experience in a Contracts Manager role in construction.
  • Must have experience delivering large scale construction projects.
  • 3rd Level qualification in construction management/Civil Engineering.
  • Proven track record of delivering construction projects within budget and to specification.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of quality and safety management systems.
  • Excellent leadership & people management skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven.
  • Good IT skills with ability to generate detailed site reports.
  • Ability to drive projects and work within strict deadlines.
  • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety
