Leopardstown: Our Leopardstown office is situated in a HSE building within Leopardstown Shopping Centre, offering connectivity and a vibrant working environment. It is on the Luas Green Line and near the M50 for easy commuting. The centre includes amenities such as shops and eateries. Sandymount: Our Sandymount office is in a seaside village with good access to public transport and local amenities. It is easily commutable from the city and surrounding areas.

Contract Type: Permanent post

Contract Hours: Full and Part Time Posts

Salary Scale: €57,771 – €68,387 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to Long Service Increments. This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the WRC agreement for Section 39 organisations.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days pro rata per annum and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.

Overview of the Post

To work as a senior member of the interdisciplinary team providing services to children and families within the region. The post holder will provide speech and language therapy support to an assigned caseload which may include children and their families on the community team and/or an assigned special school team. This will include assessment, diagnostics and intervention, clinical and performance supervision, and ongoing service delivery to children with a range of disabilities aged 0 – 18 years, including physical, sensory, and/or learning disabilities and developmental delay.

Essential Criteria

• Be registered, or be eligible for registration, as a Speech & Language Therapist by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU.
• Have 3 years' full time (or an aggregate of 3 years' full time) post qualification clinical experience.
• Have the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
• Provide proof of statutory registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by the Speech & Language Therapists Registration Board at CORU before a contract of employment can be issued.
• Eligible to work in the State.
• On appointment, practitioners must maintain annual registration on the Speech & Language Therapists Register maintained by CORU.
• Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.

Desirable Criteria

• Experience of interdisciplinary team working.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children with disabilities.
• Experience working with children with Eating, Drinking and Swallowing difficulties.
• Experience working with Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC).
