Responsibilities
  • Display strong leadership and role model client-focused behaviours in line with Comfort Homecare values. Guide and mentor the team to provide respectful, compassionate care to clients.
  • Ensure the team creates welcoming, personalised experiences, establishing meaningful connections with clients. Lead by example: engage genuinely with clients and staff by giving your full attention, maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Confidently and professionally handle client queries and concerns; use initiative and sound judgment when interacting with colleagues and clients, following company policies.
  • Treat all clients, their families, and colleagues with courtesy and respect. Support and collaborate with your team members, fostering a positive, solution-oriented environment.
  • Adapt care delivery through your team to meet each client's individual needs, exceeding their expectations. View client complaints as valuable feedback for continuous improvement and growth.
  • Record client complaints and compliments appropriately.
  • Internal Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication with your supervisor, share people-focused updates during each shift; liaise with Head Office and other departments to ensure smooth operations and collaborative working relationships.
  • People Practices: Create a positive, inclusive, and dynamic working environment that promotes professional development and job satisfaction. Develop strong, supportive relationships with clients' families and caregivers, ensuring a collaborative approach to care. Mentor and coach team members with guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Proactively manage conflicts and challenges within the team, resolving issues in a fair and efficient manner. Enforce all applicable Comfort Homecare policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care and conduct.
  • Lead by example by adhering to appearance and PPE guidelines; ensure the team maintains professional standards in appearance and conduct. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and Comfort Homecare's health and safety standards.
  • Region expansion: Support your supervisor in expanding services within the region, travel as needed to support client calls and care delivery. Provide emergency cover for client calls in case of absences and assist in conducting client assessments with personalized care plans.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed, identify hazards, and provide training and guidance on best practices to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Tasks: Manage weekly tasks such as PPE management, client introductions, carer spot checks, log sheets, assisting with clients' primary health teams, and emergency care coverage. Administer admin time and mileage tracking per scheduling systems where applicable.
Requirements
  • Level 6 Supervisory course completion
  • Level 5 in Healthcare
  • Use of a car is essential
