Overview

Weekend Homecare Assistant Sandyford/Dundrum — Heritage Homecare Dublin. Heritage Homecare is a dynamic Homecare company providing quality homecare to elderly people in their homes in South Dublin. Our clients in Dundrum, Ballinteer, Sandyford and surrounding areas need companionship and light assistance with meals and exercise, or sometimes more specialised care like dementia care and end of life care. We provide hourly visits to our clients. We are looking for caring and professional carers, and offer great flexibility and benefits for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities
  • Provide companionship and light assistance with meals and exercise.
  • Deliver specialised care when required, such as dementia care and end of life care, on an hourly visit basis.
  • Represent Heritage Homecare in a professional, caring manner with clients and families.
Hours and Scheduling
  • Weekends
  • Regular work to fill your hours of availability
  • Regular clients with notice and mutual agreement for changes
Pay and Benefits
  • Pay rates start at €14/€15 per hour, up to €17/€18 per hour.
  • Pathway to rate increase after 1 year and 3 years.
  • Higher rates after 6pm and for Saturdays and Sundays (€16-€18 per hour).
  • Maximum Bank Holiday pay.
  • €11.00 paid for half hour visits (where applicable).
  • Paid Travel allowance and Paid Mileage.
  • Paid QQI Training - modules 1 & 2.

Ideal Candidate
  • A genuine desire to support elderly people in their homes.
  • Experience as a Carer for 6-12 months.
  • Genuine affinity for vulnerable elderly people and a mature, professional manner.
  • QQI Level 5 Healthcare modules x 2, or equivalent, or willingness to obtain.
  • Related healthcare background (e.g., Student Nurses, OT's, Physios).
  • Driving License with own car or bike, or willingness to travel.
  • Above average communication and interpersonal skills.
