Overview

Barden are exclusively partnering with a leading player in Ireland's engineering landscape that is entering an exciting new growth phase and is now seeking a Part Qualified Accountant/ Assistant Accountant to join their close-knit finance team working closely with the Financial Controller. With a rich legacy spanning over four decades, this business has earned its reputation by delivering mission-critical projects in the biopharma sector, where precision, scale and reliability are essential.

About the role

Working closely with the Financial Controller and wider Commercial team, this is a hands-on position with real scope to grow and contribute. You will be involved in all areas of finance including management accounts, ERP implementation, pensions, budgeting, audit and other strategic initiatives that support the ongoing success of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the end-to-end invoicing and cash collection process
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet)
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and manage reconciliations
  • Contribute to the ERP system implementation and related process improvements
  • Administer the company pension scheme and liaise with providers
  • Support annual budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Assist with year-end audit, including documentation and auditor queries
  • Provide support to the Financial Controller on ad-hoc projects and finance tasks
About you
  • Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Good Excel skills, with experience in financial or ERP systems an advantage
  • Clear communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities
  • A team player with the ambition to grow professionally
