We are seeking aSenior Operational Excellence Manager on apermanent basisto join our team.

Job Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Director of Production at Boston Scientific Clonmel, the Opex Manager will lead the achievement and sustainability of performance excellence, primarily through the use of lean and six sigma methodologies. The role adds value by supporting the business to accelerate the strategic improvement journey and building OE capability across the organisation while sustaining improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading large-scale strategic plant level projects. Influence the adaption of DMAIC Methodology to drive business results through the adaption of digital solutions to drive Value Improvement Process (VIP) in functional areas through LBP.
• Responsible for driving efficiency, OH and VIP savings within the current manufacturing process to support the site P&L using Line blow ups and kaizen events
• Key technical leader in Operational excellence- lean Principles and system
• Develops and maintains strong relationships with peer group to actively influences, shape and develop site strategy, StAR projects, Facilities Master Plan, Site digital strategy, CEA space strategy, Winning factory and LBP. Leverages the network for best practices
• Lead the Site Digital Strategy and own the data analytics strand for advancing the adaption of digital solutions throughout manufacturing and functions to deliver site VIP.
• Lead the Business Excellence Strategy creation and deployment. Manage and oversee the coordination, deployment and implementation of multi-year strategies, engaging stakeholders, evaluating VIP opportunities and managing risk.
• Maintains a global perspective and understands global needs and trends in Operational excellence. Leads and participates in global initiatives supporting the growth of Op Ex
• Innovations: Generates and champions new ideas, approaches, and initiatives, and creates an environment that nurtures and supports meaningful innovation and VIP savings.
• Responsible for hiring, developing, and retaining a diverse and inclusive cross functional team demonstrating the desired values and principles of Boston.
• Champions change through mentoring of teams and use of the change management tool set
• Establishes and maintains strong relationships internally and externally. Contributes to a culture of respect, diversity, and inclusion.
• Manages the interactions between people to achieve desired outcomes, builds the win, win to get alignment and agreement while resolving conflicts in a constructive manner
• Communicates effectively one-on-one and in groups. Openly shares knowledge and expertise. Listens actively and contributes to the open expression of ideas and opinions.

Education & Experience:

• Hons bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5-7 years demonstrated People Leadership within a comparable environment.
• Demonstrated application of Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement experience.
• Ability to influence communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
