Coopman are delighted to be partnering with a company working within the Aviation sector who are seeking to recruit a Senior Financial Accountant to start its Dublin-based team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a key role supporting a portfolio of structured finance and securitisation transactions within the aviation sector.

The role offers a high level of responsibility from the outset, with involvement in client relationship management, financial reporting, and corporate governance.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will play a vital role in the day-to-day financial management of client entities. The position will be based in the company's Dublin office and will include regular interaction with external stakeholders and international clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly cash and payment reports
  • Production of quarterly and annual financial statements
  • Budgeting and forecasting for client entities
  • Preparation of board packs and attendance at board meetings
  • Oversight and approval of outgoing payments
  • Maintaining strong working relationships with clients, auditors, legal advisers, and other external parties
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate governance standards and contractual obligations
  • Submission of VAT and statutory filings
  • Drafting of board minutes
  • Supporting ad hoc projects and business initiatives as needed
Candidate Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA), with 2+ years\' post-qualification experience
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Motivated, proactive, and adaptable team player
  • Knowledge of consolidation accounting principles is an advantage
  • Previous experience in aircraft leasing or financial services is desirable
