WTW is seeking a Property Underwriter who has strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and the ability to build durable Broker/Insurer relationships.

Ability to respond to Broker demands in a timely manner and keep them informed; building relationships with Brokers to help win and retain business. CIP qualification.

The Role

  • Follow the risk appetite, rating strength & underwriting rules of the portfolio
  • Handle a range of queries and referrals within agreed authority limits
  • Process Policies, Schedules, and Endorsements on both Underwriting and Broker Systems and issue all relevant documentation
  • Liaise with your team, Brokers, and Underwriters daily on scheme-related issues and develop relationships with them
  • Negotiate
  • Ensure all messages are recorded and communicated clearly and promptly
  • Take responsibility for project assignments as directed by the Team Leader/Operations Manager
Qualifications

The Requirements

  • CIP qualification or working towards it
  • Relevant years of commercial experience
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel
  • Be proactive, flexible, and willing to assist colleagues
  • Demonstrate good interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines, pay attention to detail, and thrive in a changing environment
