Position: Maintenance Manager
This role is an integral part of our Engineering team based in Sligo, Ireland.
Responsibilities:- Manage the maintenance team.
- Plan schedules ensuring vendor lead maintenance is booked and EHS & PO are in place.
- Coordinate with Scheduler for equipment, facilities, and utilities access.
- Work with QC to schedule access to lab equipment and facilities.
- Implement workload planning to ensure visibility and balance of maintenance activities.
- Ensure maintenance of equipment, utilities, and facilities.
- Prioritize workload for team and contingent workers to maintain validated equipment supporting production.
- Manage Work Orders for timely approval, closure, and accurate documentation.
- Assign primary and secondary maintenance engineers to each eMaint asset.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for GMP critical assets.
- Ensure compliance with EU GMP, EHS, and other standards.
- Manage service contracts and vendor performance, including SLAs.
- Oversee team on-call rota and provide on-call coverage as needed.
- Ensure timely completion of deviations, CAPAs, and change controls related to maintenance.
- Support regulatory inspections and audits, leading investigations and CAPA actions.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure operational continuity and improvements.
- Manage budgets and KPIs.
- Lead root cause analyses and continuous improvement projects.
- Manage training on SOPs, work instructions, and OJT.
- Support the introduction of new equipment or technology.
- Perform duties in compliance with SOPs, EHS standards, legal requirements, and other guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Deep knowledge of EU GMP regulations, especially Annex 1 & 15.
- Proven experience with CMMS.
- Familiarity with utilities and cleanroom environments.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
- At least 5 years' experience in maintenance management within a GMP-regulated pharmaceutical or biotech environment.
- Experience with automation and building management systems.
- Experience supporting sterile/aseptic manufacturing or vaccine production.
- Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean, or Reliability.
- Project management experience in capital or upgrade projects.
