Job Description:

We are seeking a diligent Maintenance Assistant/Gardener to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will play a vital role in maintaining the daily workload and ensuring that all tasks are completed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily workload efficiently, utilizing resources for painting, decorating, and gardening.
  • Perform maintenance tasks, including preventative routines in tiling, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Monitor the health of all plants and greenspaces, watering and feeding plants, trimming trees and shrubs, fertilizing and mowing lawns, weeding gardens and keeping green spaces and walkways clear of debris and litter.
  • Investigate and resolve equipment and control system issues.
  • Assist plumbers and electricians with defects in hotel systems.
  • Collaborate with all hotel departments to ensure maintenance work meets professional and safety standards.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and HACCP procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous maintenance experience is preferred.
  • Safe Pass certification is a plus.
  • Qualifications in trades such as painting, plumbing, or construction are desirable.
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Detail-oriented and standards-driven.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility in working hours is required.
  • Good command of English.
