Summary:

We are recruiting a Channel Manager to join the team at Classic Drinks to lead the CMU & On-Trade Groups Channel segment of our business. The role will report to the Head of Sales. This exciting role will suit an ambitious, energetic sales focused professional with aspirations towards career advancement. Candidates should possess strong commercial acumen, leadership capability and a proven track record in sales management, customer retention and business development.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for consistent delivery of sales, profit and margin targets for the channels of responsibility.
  • Evaluate each channel size and identify sustainable growth opportunities.
  • Build annual business plans and present monthly performance against plan.
  • Develop growth plans with regional teams for Group operators.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop channel selling solutions.
  • Lead & direct the regional sales teams to maximise local business.
  • Demonstrate the ability to design and implement an effective sales plan adapting and modifying as necessary to an ever evolving and dynamic marketplace.
  • Responsible for role modelling and building effective relationships with key customers and stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Proactively embody and promote a culture of opportunity, equality and diversity.
  • Advocate and drive consistent use of all available system tools across the regional sales team.
  • Through training and coaching, develop the business and commercial acumen of the regional sales team.
  • Support and champion change including business improvement projects beyond immediate role responsibilities.
Education & Experience:
  • 4+ years' experience in hospitality, on trade sector.
  • 5 years' experience in the beers/wines/spirits industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license with a driving record that meets company minimum standards.

  • Experience of delivering and building sales plans and demonstrable understanding and deliverance of sales targets and profit management.
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to lead, coach, support and inspire a wider team.
  • Skilled in the areas of consultative selling, marketing principles, prospecting, networking, coaching and negotiations.
  • The capacity to interpret, understand and act upon financial data through numeric, commercial, and verbal reasoning.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • A strategic thinker who can analyse market, category, and financial data to identify key trends and recommend creative solutions.
  • Adept at creating highly effective premium propositions to our customers, incorporating regional and local industry trends.
  • Enrich the customer experience by providing solutions to support customer growth.
  • In support of our customer first model, work effectively across all departments to remove obstacles to ensure your team can focus on improving execution and servicing our customers flawlessly.
  • Acts with integrity and assumes full accountability treating others with respect and honesty.
