Dublin, Dublin City, Ireland OUTsurance Ireland Full time

1 week ago Be among the first 25 applicants

OUTsurance is Ireland's newest insurer, bringing fresh energy and a customer-first philosophy to the market. We offer both home and motor insurance and are committed to delivering outstanding service, fair outcomes, and genuine care for our customers when they need us most.

As part of our continued growth, we're expanding our Property Claims team and are now looking for an experienced Internal Loss Adjuster to help deliver high-quality, efficient claims handling for our home insurance customers.

About the Role

This is a technical, hands-on claims role focused on assessing and managing domestic property claims. You'll take ownership of your own portfolio of claims, conduct desktop assessments of damage, engage with service providers, and ensure that customers receive a fair and timely outcome.

You'll work closely with our wider claims team, providing input on more complex losses and helping to drive great service and technical standards across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of domestic property claims from notification to settlement.
  • Carry out desktop assessments of damage using reports, photos, video calls, and other evidence.
  • Liaise with contractors, engineers, and restoration companies to progress repairs and validate scopes of work.
  • Provide support on large loss or complex claims, including occasional field visits where needed.
  • Review and validate reports from service providers to ensure accuracy and value for money.
  • Communicate clearly and empathetically with customers throughout the claims journey.
  • Ensure all claims are handled in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.

About You

We're looking for someone with practical loss adjusting or building claims experience who enjoys solving problems, working with technical detail, and helping customers through challenging situations.

What You'll Need:

  • 3+ years' experience in property claims, loss adjusting, loss assessing, surveying, or a similar field.
  • APA (Accredited Product Adviser) or working towards insurance qualification.
  • Solid understanding of domestic building construction and repair.
  • Good judgment and a fair, balanced approach to resolving claims.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage your time, and take ownership of claims.

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Experience working with contractors, builders, or engineers.
  • Familiarity with property repair pricing and scoping tools.

Why Join OUTsurance?

  • Be part of a growing, modern insurer with a strong customer focus.
  • Work in an agile, supportive environment where your ideas count.
  • Competitive salary, benefits, and development opportunities.
  • Help us build one of Ireland's best property claims teams from the ground up.
