Volunteer: Domestic Animal Care in Rome, Italy

Location: Rome, Italy

Duration: Minimum 2 weeks

Cost: from 1950 EUR

Fee includes: all food, accommodation, pre-departure and in-country support, orientation, and all project-related activities.

Does not include: flights, travel insurance, personal expenses, visas, and vaccinations.

Responsibilities:
  • Care for shelter animals by feeding, grooming, and providing companionship to dogs and cats in need.
  • Support local staff with daily tasks, shelter upkeep, and animal enrichment activities.
  • Raise awareness through communication campaigns promoting adoption, especially for older or special-needs animals.
  • Gain experience in animal care while supporting local non-profits in Rome.
