As the maintenance planner, you will work with various functions/teams to establish and schedule access to equipment for maintenance work. The maintenance planner is responsible for ensuring all proactive maintenance activities are planned, scheduled, and tracked efficiently and effectively. You should be able to anticipate potential problems before they arise (defect prevention and avoidable delays) and develop plans of action to address them.

The planner will also coordinate with departments such as operations, engineering, purchasing, and finance daily or weekly to ensure resources are available when needed and minimize business disruption.

Responsibilities

Primary Accountabilities:

  1. Ensure all maintenance activities are well-planned and executed timely and cost-efficiently. Monitor stock levels of spare parts and consumables. Oversee orders and deliveries, checking inventory for sufficiency for planned and emergency works.
  2. Collaborate with maintenance personnel, operations, and engineering teams to schedule preventive maintenance, handle emergencies, and inspect equipment and systems.
  3. Develop and manage detailed maintenance schedules and work orders. Keep accurate records of maintenance, equipment condition, and costs.
  4. Manage work orders, documentation, and assets within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), such as SAP PM.
  5. Coordinate communication between maintenance and other departments to ensure timely and quality service.
  6. Log and manage maintenance and facilities service calls via the CMMS, issued by various communication channels.
  7. Partner with relevant functions, monitor call history, and follow up to ensure completion of maintenance works.
  8. Schedule and coordinate repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment, including reviewing method statements, risk assessments, LOTO, and work permits.
Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  1. Third-level qualification in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Building Services Management, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  2. Proven maintenance planning experience in a complex operational environment.
  3. Ability to manage supplies and service orders.
  4. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in teams.
  5. Experience and understanding of plant maintenance.
  6. Knowledge of plant and facilities technologies, including PLC & SCADA systems, fire alarm and protection systems, HVAC, boilers, and compressed air systems.
  7. Computer skills: MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams.
  8. Proficiency with CMMS tools like SAP PM or similar.
