Overview

Site Acquisition Manager, Data Center Planning and Acquisition — ByteDance

Responsibilities
  • Work with stakeholders to understand capacity needs and site requirements in assigned metros/regions. Conduct data center market analysis, lead site acquisition strategy and drive executive decisions accordingly.
  • Engage and bring qualified suppliers onboard and drive the end-to-end site acquisition / procurement process, including due diligence and recommending leases for approval.
  • Manage existing lease portfolios and drive a long-term acquisition strategy for cost efficiency and quality assurance. Experience with land & power acquisitions is a plus.
  • Work with cross-functional business partners to negotiate and prepare executable contracts.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years Site acquisition experience in a mission-critical, large-scale production environment
  • 5+ years working in the data center, infrastructure, or other relevant segments
  • Bachelor's degree in Arts or Sciences or Business or technical discipline; Masters / MBAs preferred
  • In-depth understanding of data center infrastructure, including both technical and commercial solutions
  • Confident in taking ownership, willingness to "do what it takes" to get the job done with proven experience leading complex initiatives to successful completion in a timely manner

  • Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Willing to travel as needed
