Overview

Orthopaedic Sales Specialist – Recon & Mako (West) role at Tekno Surgical. Tekno distributes the Stryker Portfolio of Hips, Knees and Robotic Implants and has a strong market share in the Republic of Ireland. The role is based primarily in the Limerick, Galway, Mayo area within ROI Recon & Mako Team, with occasional travel to other accounts.

Responsibilities
  • The Specialist will be responsible for the complete Orthopaedic Joint replacement Hips, Knees & Mako Robotics Portfolio in your Accounts.
  • The working environment will be mainly in the Operating Theatre.
  • Assist customers with clinical, technical, and commercial inquiries.
  • Develop relationships with key customers into lasting business partnerships.
  • Achieve sales plans on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Business planning and implementation throughout area of responsibility. Develop new business opportunities and determine new client and market potential through contact with customers, colleagues, and the companies Tekno represents in the Irish market.
  • Provide feedback on customers, promotional programs and environmental changes and provide ideas to improve product and company performance in the marketplace.
  • Attendance at relevant conferences and meetings in Ireland and elsewhere.
Key Skills & Experiences
  • A Technical Qualification and an aptitude for learning new Surgical Technologies.
  • A minimum of 3+ years' successful track record in medical sales or technology service in the hospital environment is desirable; experience in medical device manufacturing & design will be considered.
  • Ability to be comfortable working in the Hospital Operating Room environment.
  • Role requires both Technical and Sales Skills, with a primary focus on Customer Service & Patient Safety.
  • Strong drive, planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: customer-focused with strong influencing skills.
  • Good administrative and computing skills.
  • Commercially aware; able to manage a complex business.
  • Self-motivated and a team player.
