Orthopaedic Sales Specialist – Recon & Mako (West) role at Tekno Surgical

Tekno Surgical is recruiting an Orthopaedic Sales Specialist – Recon & Mako to join our growing team in the Republic of Ireland. Tekno distributes the Stryker Portfolio of Hips, Knees and Robotic Implants and has a strong market share in the ROI. The role will be based mainly in the Limerick, Galway, Mayo area with occasional travel to other accounts as part of the ROI Recon & Mako Team. Ideally living in the Limerick / Galway area.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete Orthopaedic Joint replacement Hips, Knees & Mako Robotics portfolio in assigned accounts.
  • Work primarily in the Operating Theatre environment.
  • Assist customers with clinical, technical, and commercial inquiries.
  • Develop relationships with key customers to create lasting business partnerships.
  • Achieve sales plans on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Conduct business planning and implementation within the area of responsibility. Identify new opportunities and potential clients through interactions with customers and Tekno partners in the Irish market.
  • Provide feedback on customers, promotional programs and market changes; suggest ideas to improve product and company performance.
  • Attend relevant conferences and meetings in Ireland and elsewhere as required.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Technical qualification with aptitude for learning new surgical technologies.
  • Minimum of 3+ years' successful track record in medical sales or technology service in hospital settings; experience in medical device manufacturing & design considered.
  • Ability to work comfortably in a Hospital Operating Room environment.
  • Strong technical and sales skills with a focus on customer service & patient safety.
  • Self-motivated with excellent planning, organisational, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence customers.
  • Good administration and computing skills; commercially aware with ability to manage a complex business.
  • Team player with drive and resilience.
