The Role:
The provision of occupational therapy service using service user centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in line with Ability West's ethos, vision, policies and to interact as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and review of treatment/intervention programmes for service users according to service standards.
- Collaborate with service users, family, carers and other staff in treatment/intervention planning and in the provision of support and advice.
- Manage own caseload in accordance with the needs of the post.
Candidates must satisfy Department of Health and Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics for appointment as follows:
- Hold a recognized degree or equivalent and be eligible for membership with the AOTI.
- Registration with CORU required.
- Post-graduate experience as an occupational therapist in Disability Services sector
- Full current driving license with access to your own vehicle (mileage will be paid at the appropriate rate)
- Sensory integration training and experience.
- A genuine respect and empathy for diversity and individuality.
- A flexible, responsible approach to work.
- Professional, accountable, good planning and time management skills.
