Overview

Ashdale Care (Ireland) provides specialist therapeutic residential services for young people with complex emotional and behavioral needs who cannot be adequately cared for in a mainstream setting. We are committed to ensuring a high-quality, safe, caring environment where children and young people are given the opportunity for positive growth and change.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Social Worker, located in Monaghan. The Social Worker will be responsible for providing support and services to young people with complex needs. The day-to-day tasks include conducting assessments, developing care plans, coordinating with other professionals, providing therapeutic support, and ensuring the safety and well-being of the young people in our care. The Social Worker will also be involved in crisis intervention, advocacy, and liaising with families and external agencies.

Qualifications
  • Experience in conducting assessments and developing care plans
  • Skills in providing therapeutic support and crisis intervention
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • A degree in Social Work or a related field
  • Registration with the relevant professional body
  • Experience working with young people with complex needs is a plus
