The candidate will join the Legal Team as Contracts Manager, working on various transactions including leases, acquisitions, novations, lease returns, redeployments, and sales. Based in Miami or Dublin, the Contracts Manager will benefit from the support and experience of the Legal Team, senior management at Carlyle Aviation Partners, and external industry professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Legal Team on all transactions such as leases, acquisitions, novations, lease returns, redeployments, and sales.
  • Participate in deal team processes, coordinating negotiations and resolving documentary, funding, and closing matters.
  • Collaborate with in-house attorneys and outside counsel on transaction documentation, including data room preparation.
  • Serve as a key contact for deal counterparties, law firms, and airlines regarding transaction closings.
  • Support transaction acceleration initiatives by tracking process timelines and reminding the deal team of deadlines.
  • Prepare and maintain closing checklists to monitor conditions for each transaction.
  • Ensure pre-delivery events and closing activities are accurately tracked and completed on time.
  • Input transaction details into the company's Enterprise Management System.
  • Manage exchange and review of closing documents with relevant parties.
  • Organize and file original transaction documents appropriately.
  • Assist in closing transactions by preparing approvals and arranging signature execution.
  • Ensure proper electronic filing of closing sets with correct naming conventions.
  • Support special projects as assigned by senior legal leadership.
  • Act as a communication liaison between departments.
  • Provide status updates on contracts and transactions to relevant teams and the wider company.
  • Respond to lease and loan administration requests from customers and lenders.
  • Assist in process improvements, cost-saving initiatives, and team training.
Qualifications

Education & Certificates

Legal, technical, or business degree; master's preferred.

Professional Experience

  • At least 4 years of experience in aviation financing, preferably as a Contracts Manager or similar role.
  • Strong project management skills with delegation, prioritization, and issue resolution capabilities.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, diligent, and numerate.
  • Ability to identify critical issues and work under pressure.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of Leaseworks or similar systems is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel if necessary.
