The Municipal District of Carlow, Ireland FLI Precast Solutions Full time

FLI Precast Solutions have an exciting vacancy for a Financial Accountant to join our busy and growing Finance team for a twelve (12) month maternity cover contract commencing in September 2025. This roles reports to the Finance Director and is part of a wider finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Heavy involvement with the month-end process, in particular:
  • Accurately calculating the appropriate costs to assign to projects in the month including close coordination with colleagues from other business functions.
  • Performing monthly stock reconciliations from system stock quantities to physical quantities counted as part of monthly cycle counts and investigating differences outside of tolerance where they arise.
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Involvement in board pack preparation and other monthly reporting.
  • Preparation of weekly payroll file for submission to our third-party payroll provider.
  • Preparation of billing documents for our clients including close cooperation with our Commercial team to ensure billing values and the detail provided on the invoice reflect work performed.
  • Act as a key liaison with the company's auditors and other third-party business contacts for quarterly audit of the Invoice Discounting facility.
  • Involvement in system enhancement projects as they arise.

The Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
  • A minimum of three years industry experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment, or qualified through accounting practice.
  • Knowledge and prior experience working with Finance ERP systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, in particular, Excel capabilities.
  • Inquisitive mindset and will to learn.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • English language fluency, both written and spoken, essential.

FLI Precast Solutions design and manufacture precast concrete elements for a variety of applications in the Data, Energy, Water and Aviation Industries in Ireland, UK and Europe. We provide a service to clients which allows traditional in-situ built concrete infrastructure such as large chambers, tanks, cable troughs, architectural retaining walls, piers and other heavy civils products to be manufactured off site within our three production halls at our twenty-two-acre plant in Ballon, Co. Carlow.

The village is a 15-minute drive to Carlow town with its host of shops, restaurants and bars, 10 minutes from the nearest motorway, 60 minutes from Rosslare Harbour and 75 minutes from Dublin Airport making it easily accessible for domestic and overseas travel.
