Product Project Manager- (Product Management & Sustainability Team)

Fineco Asset Management DAC ('Fineco AM') is a Dublin based Asset Management Company, and a subsidiary of FinecoBank S.p.A. ("FinecoBank"). Fineco AM, which started its operations in May 2018, is authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland as a UCITS & AIFM Management Company with a MIFID top up, and it currently has approximately €34bn in assets under management. Fineco AM is a competence centre- specialised in the management of fund-of-funds, single strategy funds, as well as Structured Solutions Funds. In addition to portfolio management activities, all key supporting and controlling functions, such as Compliance, Risk, Finance and Legal, are also performed locally. Fineco AM started with 5 employees and has grown rapidly over the past 6 years with a headcount currently sitting at over 80 FTEs and growing quickly (half of our headcount was hired during the pandemic period). Currently Fineco AM manages 3 UCITS Umbrella Funds - in Luxembourg (1 fund) and in Ireland (2 funds).

For the role of Project Manager, we are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional to work as part of a dynamic and diverse team and support with the delivery of a wide range of projects related to pre/post-launch product and service management. The successful candidate will be organised, proactive and capable of working off their own initiative as well as part of a wider team to assist with the delivery of project milestones in a fast paced environment.

The ideal candidate already has some professional services experience within the asset management/financial services sector via training in either Audit & Assurance, Advisory or Consulting etc. and is interested in an opportunity to gain excellent experience in a rapidly growing asset manager with exposure to the full fund "life cycle", from idea generation to product launch to post launch product management.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Co-COO. The Team currently consists of 4 employees. The Project Manager's duties will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Assist with successful and effective end-to-end delivery of product management related projects and day-to-day tasks which span from approval of the original idea - to launch phase - to post-authorisation fund amendments;
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and an ability to work to deadlines;
  • Work and communicate effectively with senior management and team members, providing relevant summary updates and escalations as appropriate;
  • Manage reporting requirements, project plans, project status reports, RAID logs, management updates and other reports as required;
  • Building strong internal relationships and interacting proactively with key stakeholders to gather information, resolve issues, and provide analysis to inform project deliverables;
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the product management policies, processes, and procedures and utilise this knowledge on projects and day-to-day tasks to support projects;
  • Assist with product-related presentations to Senior Management (e.g. new product ideas, product pipeline, reporting sales figures, market trends etc.);
  • Assist with product documentation coordination (e.g. Fund supplement, prospectus, KIID/KID etc.) with both internal and external stakeholders (i.e. providers such as Morningstar, Fund Info, Fineco AM Distributor in Italy, Depositary/Administrator, Paying Agent etc).
  • Assist with product management governance i.e. scheduling and facilitating Product Committee and Sustainable Finance Committee meetings, including preparation of agendas and documentation of minutes;
  • Assist with coordination of UCITs, MiFID-related and Solvency II regular or ad-hoc reporting requirements that may require project coordination among various departments.

Requirements:

  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent English speaker + Knowledge of Italian would be desirable, but not a mandatory requirement.
  • MS Office: Excellent MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
  • Analytical skills: Focused approach to the review, assessment and interpretation of data streams and the communication of summary information to senior management.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team on multiple projects concurrently.
  • Organisation: Scheduling and facilitating meetings, including Agendas and Minutes.
  • Attitude: Strong work ethic, proactive attitude to issue resolution, delivering excellence, managing deadlines.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Third level degree (Business/Finance degree is desirable, but other backgrounds/qualifications can be considered).
  • 3-year proven work experience in financial services or working for an advisory firm advising financial service companies.
  • Minimum of 3+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all project lifecycle elements (i.e. project initiation, planning & development, design/execution, closure).
  • Experience working on projects/engagement with clients in the Financial Services Sector (Asset Management/ Banking/Insurance etc.).
  • Comfortable working under pressure, in a demanding environment and to tight deadline, delivering results.
  • Project Management qualification (such as PRINCE2 or PMP) would be desirable.
  • Familiarity with Morningstar and Fund info platforms would be desirable.
  • Familiarity with UCITS and AIFMD/MiFID legislation would be desirable.
