Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We're recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing team focused on designing custom automation and packaging machinery. This is a hands-on role with full project ownership — from concept through to commissioning.
This range is provided by SRG. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.
Key Responsibilities- Design bespoke machines including cartoners, case packers, and tray loaders
- Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs using SolidWorks
- Lead design reviews and support FAT/SAT activities
- Collaborate with electrical, controls, and project teams
- Ensure compliance with GMP, CE, and relevant safety standards
- 8+ years' experience in mechanical design, ideally in automation or special purpose machinery
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM systems
- Good understanding of pneumatics, servo systems, cams, and mechanical drives
- Clear communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Experience in pharmaceutical or medical device automation
- Familiarity with robotics, vision systems, or simulation tools
- Knowledge of GMP, CE marking, and machine safety standards
