Job Title: Assistant Financial Controller

Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Financial Controller to join the finance team of a well-established hotel based in Dublin city centre. This role offers excellent scope for career progression within a fast-paced, professional environment, along with full study support for a professional accounting qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Financial Controller with daily finance operations and month-end processes
  • Assist in preparing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
  • Maintain accurate financial records and perform balance sheet reconciliations
  • Oversee cost control in collaboration with departmental managers
  • Assist with internal controls, audit preparation, and compliance
  • Provide financial insights to support operational decision-making
  • Help drive efficiencies and continuous improvement within the finance function

Ideal Candidate:

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or similar)
  • Background in practice or hands-on experience with full accounting cycles advantageous
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with hospitality systems (e.g., Opera, Sun Systems) is a plus
  • Detail-focused with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
